Indications/Uses

Dapagliflozin/Metformin HCl (XIGDUO XR) is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when treatment with both dapagliflozin and metformin is appropriate: for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise.
For the prevention of new or worsening heart failure or cardiovascular death (see Pharmacology: Pharmacodynamics under Actions).
